Game Design of the original “Doom” Game released in 1993 2016 - Present

PERSONAL PROJECTS

Project 1: Design of several game levels as extensions to the original Doom 2 Game

Class: Self-Initiative, Summer 2016, Ongoing

The levels are built in 3D with floors, walls, and ceilings of different rooms connected together with stairs, doors, and elevators. A typical game is a maze in which the player must remember where buttons and keys are to open the various places within the maze while being careful not to get destroyed by a variety of ugly creatures, each with their own supernatural powers. The player has weapons to defend against the creatures but must remember which one to use to eliminate the threat.

Project 2: Building my own board game “One Space”

Class: Self-Initiative, February 2021

I built a prototype of a board game using a drawing of my own for the board, with instructions my dad helped me write up and with existing poker chips and other board pieces. Friends of the family came over and played the game with me. They liked it enough to ask for their own copies of the prototype.

Project  3: Design of THE World's smallest PAC-man game with internet of things and circuit python

Class: Self-Initiative, Summer 2025, Ongoing

Encouraged by my father, I created a mini-pac-man game using the ESP32 micro-controller, called "Feather S2 Neo" and a small joystick. The micro-controller had a 5x5 LED matrix on it. The game was programmed in "CircuitPython".

Project 4: DESIGN OF OTHER PROJECTS USING INTERNET OF THINGS

Class: Self-Initiative, Fall 2025, Ongoing

I continue working on these types of project and learning about the interaction between the program and the hardware.
